DVD Description

A diner waitress, Slim (Jennifer Lopez), meets Mitch (Bill Campbell), a handsome rich man who defends her in the diner. They marry and have a child, but Slim's happiness is soon lost when she discovers that her husband has a mistress. When confronted, Mitch becomes abusive and proceeds to lay down controlling laws for Slim. As the abuse grows worse, Slim realizes that fleeing is her only path to freedom. Mitch's determination becomes evident as he tracks Slim down, terrorizes her, and uses the legal system to his advantage by scheduling a custody hearing. Realizing that flight and the law are not her strongest allies, Slim takes intensive combat classes, preparing to meet Mitch one last time and intending to kill him in apparent self-defense.
ENOUGH wisely spins typical gender roles beyond the training of its protagonist. Slim is aided by a sensitive male admirer with stamina problems (Dan Futterman) and her daughter Grace (Tessa Allen), who has admirable basketball skills. When it comes time for the climactic last battle, ENOUGH doesn't get bogged down with politics, sexual or otherwise. Instead, it gleefully delivers an elaborate, bloody, final brawl.

CERTAINLY GOOD ENOUGH
Review of Enough (Wide Screen) by  kev_macca

Advantages: everything
Disadvantages: see op

.... Slim realises that this has to stop, so she toughens herself mentally and physically, as she needs to tell Mitch that she’s had Enough. ‘Self defence isn’t murder’. TAKE A CLOSER LOOK… A feel good movie of the year! : O ). The storyline is great throughout and there are a lot of nail biting moments. People say that this type of film has been done before and I agree it somewhat has elements from parts of different films but I believe that there were not executed as well as this one. It is full of heart racing sequences with loads of tense moments, which put you on the edge of your seat. You can really become a part of the movie and get into it and at the end when she faces up to Mitch you get a great buzz. (Quite sad, but I like to get into my films!). J’Lo almost becomes a super hero with some of the movies she does and traps she... Read review

Die Hard with a vengeance (Wide Screen)
Review of Die Hard With A Vengeance (Wide Screen) by  andrew1971

Advantages: Wide view of Picture as intended for cinemas
Disadvantages: Unsuitable view for Portable DVD's

...The third and final part (as of yet) of the Die Hard series and Bruce Willis is back this time alongside Samuel L Jackson. This Widescreen version is suitable for anyone who's television set as the ability to show widescreen pictures. With this you can see more of the film has it was intended to be seen at the cinema. Sometimes films are cut to fit onto standard screen sizes. The film is probably the best of the three films and Jackson gives Willis a run for his money in the action scenes. The Villian played by Jeremy Irons although not as good has Alan Rickman in the first Die Hard film does an excellent potrayal of a German villian. If you are a fan of the series but have only watched them on television (with adverts betwween) then go and purchase this film and see how it was intended to be seen.... Read review

When You Can't Take Anymore.
Review of Enough (Wide Screen) by  damncoldnightdotnet

Advantages: Jennifer Lopez is excellent in her role.
Disadvantages: It's been done before.

...Another one of my favourite films got it’s premiere on Sky Movies last night, and I thought what better time for me to review it than now, so if I can persuade anyone to watch this, you’ll be able to catch it on TV. Enough – starring Jennifer Lopez and Billy Campbell, is a film dealing with domestic violence, and how the beaten wife takes matters into her own hands and fights back. -- Technical Details -- Year: 2002. Time Running: 115 Minutes. Cert: 15.
