Enough is a great thriller starring Jennifer Lopez as Slim & Billy Campbell as her evil husband Mitch. This film instantly appealed to me as I teach self defence & I love good thrillers. Slim & Mitch meet when Slim is working in a working class café with best friend Ginny in a great supporting role from Juliette Lewis. Slim is instantly smitten with Mitch & she thinks she's finally found her prince charming. He also has everyone around them convinced that he is the perfect guy.
They eventually end up married & Slim gives birth to his daughter Gracie played by the adorable Tessa Allen. A few years go by & everything in their marriage still seems perfect until one evening Mitch gets paged by an unfamiliar number, as he's in the shower Slim decides to call the number to see who it is. A woman answers saying 'hello darling' Slim is of course shocked by the discovery that her doting husband is having an affair & when he approaches him & tells him she knows he seems unaffected, he says that he has needs & this other woman takes care of them. Slim tells him it must stop. They argue & Mitch lashes out, hitting Slim in the face & knocking her to the floor. He tells them it's not going to stop & she's not going to leave them & if she does he will hunt her down & take their daughter away from her.
Slim's world has just come crashing down around her & terrified, she stays with Mitch & disguises the bruises. One night she decides she's had enough of the abuse & plans to flee with daughter Gracie with the help of a few friends. She plans it all out but Mitch wakes up & points a gun at her, when her friend wakes Gracie he hides the gun & can do nothing but let them escape but vows not to let them go that easily.
This is a brilliant thriller, Jennifer Lopez is great as the abused wife & really plays her part well. Billy Campbell is also good as the evil husband who is relentless in his plan to get his wife & his daughter back & will go to any lengths. Id recommend this to any fan of Jlo or any fan of really suspenseful thrillers & this one truly delivers.
