This is a great adaptation of the Jane Austen novel about a well bred girl who plays matchmaker for all her friends. However she never seems to be very good at matching them and when one of her friends takes a shine to her friend Mr Knightly she soon realises that she has been in love with him all along. There is good comedy moments in the film and the romantic aspects are not over the top.The screenplay doesn't sway from the book and makes this an enjoyable film for lovers of period romance as well as lovers of romance films. The film has a pridictable ending (even if you haven't read the book)but doesn't take your mind from enjoying it any less.A great film for young and old alike.
