Eminem - Behind The Mask DVD

Advantages: Amazing story and brilliant performances
Disadvantages: The softness of the picutre due to the way it was shot

..., I have revisited this film numerous times as it is one of the most compelling dramas I have ever had the pleasure to watch. What is also quite amazing about this film is that it was released in the middle of the 80s when the cinema going audiences seemed to want innocent entertainment like "Back to the Future" instead of powerful true life dramas such as this. For me when I read that a film is based on a true story I approach it with a certain amount of caution, but whilst I cannot say how accurate this interpretation is, I can say that it is vastly different to the majority of films which base their plots on a real life story. Whilst the usual route of action for true story films is to pile on the sentiment with highly contrived scenes which focus on pushing the audiences' buttons to gain a desired emotion. ...is !”, once again eminem playing multiple parts in this amusing video, for me not the best track off the slim shady album but never al ess not bad! 7, Stan – Behind the scenes A relatively short “making of”- this is ok, you don’t really see much of eminem, Dr dry has an input, along with Dido, Devon, The reason for eminem not been in the “the making of” is because he was not really in the video!.. not a bad feature! 8, The Mathers home – feature I thought this would be eminem’s set of the house on the front cover of the album (marshal mathers LP) how wrong am I!!!!, its basically 2 guy’s breaking into Em’s house in a “ spooky” type of way!, this trailer was played in the up and smoke tour 2002! Advantages: Interesting horror homage
Disadvantages: Occasional weakenesses

...Although Anchor Bay have been putting the movies of others to disc for sale, they only recently have been making them; In doing so they remain faithful to their roots and are sticking with a genre that made them a worldwide success horror. In typical confused US to UK transitional style UK shores get to see Behind The Mask: The Rise Of Leslie Vernon before they get to see Anchor Bay's first movie Hatchet. Sadly unlike the US we only get to see the movie at home, for reasons that to some degree are obvious when viewing the movie, Behind The Mask is coming out straight to DVD. Behind The Mask is almost like two movies for the price of one, a horror movie almost with the special features thrown in.
