Elvis - The Complete Story DVD

Advantages: Some good, insightful moments and 'forgotten' matches
Disadvantages: Almost the same as the autobiography, lacking depth in some places

...the 'Boyhood Dream' and 'From The Vault' collections, what excited me most about the 'Shawn Michaels Story: Heartbreak & Triumph' set was due to the fact that it wouldn't be purely matches featured on the disks, or even simply interviews and commentaries by himself. Instead, in many ways, this 2007 DVD release would be a series of interviews and opinions from Shawn's peers and critics that would act as an extension to his autobiography from 2006, chronicling the life and times of a wrestler who had worked in many companies before his illustrious WWE run, including the now defunct World Class Championship Wrestling and the American Wrestling Association. Advantages: The DVD looks and sounds terrific...every element falls into place beautifully...
Disadvantages: those who hate Romeo & Juliet probably wont bother to give it a chance...

...When I was growing up, my parents had two great musicals on the same tape---WEST SIDE STORY and GREASE. My mother knew I would enjoy GREASE more than WEST SIDE STORY and when I tried to watch it, I wasn't really impressed with it, and all I remembered from it was it starting with an aerial shot of Manhattan. I wasn't until this year that I saw WEST SIDE STORY in all its glory, after I was recommended to buy the DVD by a very good friend. Some of my favorite musicals have been MY FAIR LADY, 1776, and the SOUTH PARK movie (weird collection, I know), but I was absolutely overwhelmed by the sheer power and energy of WEST SIDE STORY. And now I'm glad to be writing a review on it, as I tell you about the film---and the experiance I had while watching it. First of all, I know everyone out there doesn't like musicals... Read review

Advantages: Great animation and great humour!
Disadvantages: None at all

...After months of people telling me to see both the Toy Story films, I finally went out and bought the DVD boxset and what a buy it was!. I'm not sure how much it's selling for in the UK, but I got both movies for £19.99 (futureent.com) imported on Region 1 DVD. There are two sets you can buy - the one I got which gives you a few extra features, such as out takes. And the second which comes with a 3rd disk filled with extra's, which I believe is £35 altogether. I'm indifferent as to which is the better film, as I enjoyed both immensely. The animation is superb, and the humour is excellent. If you're one of these people who think cartoons are just for kids, then you'd be very wrong.
