Advantages: Incredible, passionate performances,a revelation
Disadvantages: too many out-takes, fluffs etc

...and charisma that if you have only ever heard the original recordings before you will be stunned. These must rank as some of the most charismatic, inspiring performances made by any performer in any genre of music or entertainment. Before I came across these performances I had always tended to discount Elvis as being a bit corny: seeing them instantly changed my mind. Advantages: Elvis singing, great music and honest story
Disadvantages: Elvis's acting is slightly wooden

...of acting experience shows, but he makes up for it with his singing, where his talent really shines. Although this was basically a vehicle for Presley, the real star of the film was Lizbeth Scott as Glenda Markle the bands agent. She portrays the manipulative agent brilliantly but also shows her weaker side when Rivers realizes that she has been manipulating him. Fortunately the majority of the acting scenes in the film involve her, other wise this could have been a very painful movie. There are some reasonable performances from the rest of the cast, which includes Dolores Hart and Wendell Corey. Hal Kanter directs the film and he has done a very good job of capitalizing on the young Elvis's singing rather than his acting ability. Advantages: Very indepth in details of Elvis
Disadvantages: None that I could find

...Elvis may not be alive now, but his music and films live on. There will only ever be one King and that is Elvis. Details of his early life, when he was in the army and how he met some of the guys that ended up working for him,also how he met his wife and the life thy lead before he married and afterwards was very well detailed by his Wife and Daughter in depth. I could watch it again and again and still find new information about him. New fans are always coming to enjoy his music and films which is why he is still so loved by all his fans around the world. Fans visit Gracelands during his Birthday week and again in August for the Elvis week.... Read review
