I've been doing this workout for about ten years, on and off, originally as part of school PE class, then I bought my own VHS copy and, most recently, DVD. It has certainly stood the test of time.
The workout begins with a warmup session. During the main workout, aerobic sessions are alternated with muscle toning exercises for legs, bottom, arms and abs, and a cooldown follows.
You will need handweights for the arm exercises. Normally I use two tins from the kitchen but one of them asks you to hold both in one hand, so it's better if you do have proper weights.
It is not a particularly tough workout, if you have a reasonable level of fitness you will have no problem completing the DVD, but still at the end feel like you have done something to improve your fitness levels and muscle tone.
The exercises are fun and interesting, but I found that some of them, particularly the step sequences in the aerobic sequences, could be a little hard to follow or change too quickly to keep up with.
I'm not sure where the DVD was filmed but it's beautiful. Each section of the workout has a different and stunning backdrop - dramatic mountains, beautiful beaches, waterfalls, and it makes the session that much more enjoyable. The background music is quite good although some of it is showing its age these days. The cooldown is lovely and relaxing, with Sting's "Fields of Gold" playing to a beautiful beach backdrop.
In short: if you're looking for a fun and fairly easy-going workout, get it!
