...the video. Both Elle and Karen Voite (the tutor) look genuinely happy for the full hour! Nothing is as infectious as someone else's good mood. They look amazing, of course, which drives you to want a piece of whatever it is that got them that way (the workout). The scenery where the video is set is absolutely gorgeous, so again, it makes you think happy thoughts - of exotic holidays and glorious weather. Not forgetting the workout itself! The whole ... ...not sound patronizing. Elle is equally charming and bashful and makes a couple of human errors during the video which help to make you feel smug. See if you can spot them - there's at least two fluffed lines or missed cues and a couple of blatant wrong moves. All good fun if you're a regular viewer! If you know who Elle McPherson is you will know that she has a great body and figure that some of us women would die for. I think she is a bit too thin for me but I certainly could do with getting a little bit off of me this year. Maybe 2 -3 stone. If I combine dieting with this I know I could probably do it.
I like these videos because you can do them when you feel like it, even before you go to bed at night if you want and in the comfort ... ...like this one so much is you do get the results if you keep at it and you don't have to fork out much for it, unlike going to classes or to the gym. It is definately one that I recomend as it does give the results you want. Infact I am going to go and do it now. Thanks for the read.

I've been doing this workout for about ten years, on and off, originally as part of school PE class, then I bought my own VHS copy and, most recently, DVD. It has certainly stood the test of time.
The workout begins with a warmup session. During the main workout, aerobic sessions are alternated with muscle toning exercises for legs, bottom, arms and abs, and a cooldown follows.
You will need handweights for the arm exercises. Normally I use two ... ...to hold both in one hand, so it's better if you do have proper weights.
It is not a particularly tough workout, if you have a reasonable level of fitness you will have no problem completing the DVD, but still at the end feel like you have done something to improve your fitness levels and muscle tone.
The exercises are fun and interesting, but I found that some of them, particularly the step sequences in the aerobic sequences, could be a little ...

Heaven and Elle Review ofElle Macpherson - The Body Workout DVDby

Advantages: well-known face (and bod); v.easy to follow, good all-rounder Disadvantages: terrifying physiques to live up to; slightly dated
There's something god-given about Elle Macpherson's body. She chats to you a little about 'inner beauty' etc at the start of the workout, so you don't feel too bad as she flexes and leaps, smiling winningly at the camera.
Elle's workout has been devised by Karen Voight, a pint-sized pack of muscle with excellent credentials- she was and is a trusted fitness professional with her own line of gyms, as well as academies, in LA. Apparently Elle had ... ...oceans and so on, and Elle and Karen barely break a sweat. There are a lot of flamboyant arm movements and a few starjumps here and there, but the three cardio sections are just long enough to stay interesting. Elle's occasional comments are irritating ("This is one I really need to do"- yeah, right) but Karen ignores her and that's quite funny.

I'm not normally one for exercise, i never have been, but this year i made a resolution to get fit.
Not being into sport much, and not being keen on the gym i decided to go for something i could do at home. The workout is really good, i felt like i was really working, the moves were easy to follow and not too fast, and it made me feel really good about myself afterwards. The workout changes from aerobic exercise to toning and strengthening a few ... ...chance to catch your breath! The aerobic sections are fun, and make you work up a sweat without getting completely exhausted! In total the workout lasts for about an hour, including the warm-up and stretching at the end. From the beginning, the sequence is:
* Warm up - nice and gentle, eases you into it well
* Aerobics 1 - not very hard work, enough to increase the heart rate a little and raise the temperature
