Review: [Performances] are suitably intense (Variety, 13/06/2008)
Advantages: Excellent war movie, good acting + special features on DVD Disadvantages: DD 5.1 audio would have been nice
...is only stereo but still provides a good experience of being involved in the action so is not a major stumbling point for the DVD. Along with the movie the DVD contains special features in the form of a 22 minute interview with Andy McNabb which is worth seeing. Also included is a behind the scenes training session of Sean Bean learning how to use the weapons and being taught engagement tactics i.e. how to avoid pooing your pants when you see the enemy! Both of these special features are excellent additions to the DVD.
The DVD comes packaged in a standard case and also includes a small booklet which tells you a bit about Andy McNabb, pictures of the SAS Squad (actors) and a short story about the SAS for those who wish to find out more about the most elite Special Forces team in the world.

Advantages: recognition of football hooligianism within britain Disadvantages: shows violence not suitable for younger ages
...elijah wood 'matt' is a very talented journalist but when his room mate pins a drug raid on him he is kicked out of harvard and loses his chance of a degree. he soons flys over to england to meet his sister and is intruduced to her brother in law Pete, the leader of west ham uniteds football hooligan squad or 'firm' and soon finds himself in fights against other firms from football fans all over the country. this all turns to disaster when the firm finds out that wood is a journalist, the arch enemy of hooligans and soon pete find himself between his friends and his brother in law. the film has a quality storyline and some very graphic fight scenes however the not so realistic cockney accents by the lead actor leo gregory makes the film lose its surface realism. 'major' played by marc warren is the best by far as he reveals his identity...

Advantages: Hilarious gags from Nielsen and North in their element Disadvantages: Only 6 episodes
...Similarly to Leslie Nielsen's other huge hits, Naked Gun and Airplane, Police Squad consists of hilarious sight gags, puns and plain goofy dialogue.
Accident prone Detective Frank Drebin (Leslie Nielsen) bumbles his way through a series of investigations, unaware of the blazing trail of incompetence he leaves behind him, yet somehow managing to catch his man.
Other reviews might say that the jokes are unintelligent and obvious, which is not true for about 90% of the gags, and the remaining 10% are hilarious anyway.
From start to finish the gags come reeling in. In the opening credits, for example, simple jokes like the announcer announcing one title and the screen saying another, and a celebrity guest is said to star, despite not appearing in the episode.
Another good joke is in the ending credits. Drebin and his boss (Alan North...
