If, as I was, you are left babysitting your younger siblings and are becoming more and more agitated as the summer holiday drags out then I recommend for a little piece and quiet you part with some cash and take them to watch the Road to El Dorado. Not only will you be able to sit back and relax, but the kids will enjoy it as well. Anything that keeps my lovely little sister and her two friends quiet for over an hour deserves a reward of the highest calibre. It contains witty remarks for the older audience as well as some great scenes and comic moments. Conniving and cunning characters who grow to become real heroes (especially since they are able to entertain the kids through the whole film) and seriously wacky bad guys with strange smiles that scared even me! A perfect family film or refuge for those babysitting, it appeals to all ages. It contains something for everyone. The only thing bad about it is that in some places it does try a little too hard to appeal to older audiences so some of the remarks will not be fully understood by young children, but the colourful scenes and characters is enough to keep them happy throughout.
