Johnny Depp takes on the role of being a man-made male. Unfortunately, his maker died and he was left unfinished, in a big mansion. The town rumoured about who lived in the house, little did they know that he only had scissors/shears for his hands. He gained quite a talent for reshaping shrubs and trees into any creature or thing you could possibly imagine.
He is discovered by an Avon lady that takes him home and tries to give him a make-over, her daughter, (played by Wyonna Rider) befriends the unusual one, and all of a sudden he town become very interested in getting to know the scissor-hands. (Only because they want amusing shrubs).
Soon enough, the town gets bored and begins to plague him, forcing him back into his mansion to spend the rest of his life alone. Wyonna tries to go his rescue him but naturally he is too difficult to get too close to, might lose a few locks of hair, or a finger maybe.
It’s a ‘nice’ story, it has the kind of Beauty and the Beast feel to it
