The Simpsons: Exposed
Review of The Simpsons The Complete Second Season DVD Box Set by  ReviewDude

Advantages: Funny Stories
Disadvantages: Copyright Laws & Menu Startup

...The Simpsons return in the complete second season of the popular TV Show. While you have most likely seen many of the episode already on TV it's nice to revisit some of the best ones and go behind the scenes. - Episodes - Disc One 1. Bart Gets An F According to a recent video cover this was the most watched episode of the Simpsons ever. The reason for this is most likely that it was the first episode of the second season and a lot of people decide to give the show a go because they've heard so much about it. Mrs Krabappel is worried about Barts grades. He continues to show now improvement and decides to call Homer & Marge in to see if they can help solve the problem. If Bart doesn't get a better grade he will fail and have to repeat the fourth grade. Bart tries to study while Springfield celebrates snow day. The funniest day... Read review

The Simpsons at its best
Review of The Simpsons - Series 8 - Complete DVD by  bigmike33

Advantages: Some great episodes
Disadvantages: None

...Intro: ------ Season 8 of the Simpsons is seen by many as the last season of the so called golden age (seasons 3 - 8), with season 9 onwards, although still as watchable and entertaining, not up to the standard of previous seasons. This boxset is another value for money DVD, containing all 25 episodes of Season 8 on four discs, with the usual extras including commentaries, deleted scenes and commercials. This DVD is an absolute gem, containing some of the funniest episodes ever, from Homer making an enemy at work to Mulder and Scully investigating strange activities in Springfield. I also love the James Bond episode parody in which Homer gets a new job outside of Springfield, unaware that his new boss is a Super Villian intent on ruling the world. We also find out a number of new things in season 8, including Mr Burns having... Read review

Edward Scissorhans: the DVD cut
Review of Edward Scissorhands DVD by  bilbob20

Advantages: Good plot, and some excellent visuals
Disadvantages: Some of the acting

.... They aren't great plot contributions, but little niggles that spoiled an otherwise excellent film for me. For instance, what happened to the old inventor's body when he died. And how would Edward have continued to live at the mansion under the guise of being dead if there was a death on the grounds that would have been treated as a crime scene. Maybe its about my analytical mind, and perhaps if you suspend belief long enough - its utterly enjoyable without the pitfalls that I've listed. But I just couldn't get them out of my head whilst watching. All in all though, its a nice film with an engaging plot. The DVD I purchased had not a single extra. Not even a theatrical trailer or a cast bio. Disappointing.... Read review
