Advantages: Compelling, Moving, Best Child Actor Ever, Story, Artistic Disadvantages: Late DVD Region 2 Release
...This is such a fantastic film sporting child actor at the time Christian Bale who delivers one of the best performances i have ever seen from a minor. The story of a young British child in 2nd World War Japan who loses his parents after a huge riot which he caused through the mischeif you would expect from a child, i won't give too much away...
The story is, for what i can gather is utterly flawless, with no plot-holes or misconceptions of the era. Its moving and character driven around Bale's character and somewhat on John Malkovich's charter "Basie" who you grow to either love or hate throughout the film.

Advantages: probably the best low budget film ever Disadvantages: a bit dated now
.... It took me 3 years to find the film on video and then the video machiene broke down and i bought a dvd player!! Now i can't see Empire because they haven't released it on DVD yet.
I was charged 9.99 from HMV. And the rating is a 12.
It lasts around 86 minutes.
The sun describes it as " This is a must see movie".
And for once i agree with the sun.
(ignore the SFX evaluation it doesn't have any)...

Formed in 1977 the band was named Highway Star the Belfast. Shortly after the bands formation the name changed shortly changed to Stiff Little Fingers. The band fits nicely in to the punk music genre but has a hint of Irish/celtic tones underlying in their music.
There have been some band member changes the current band line up is Jake Burns, Ian McCallum, Steve Grantley and Ali McMordie.
SLF music has a knack for introducing their life experiences into their music and in listening to their music you are also...
