The film is a biopic of the bandleaders life, focusing on his musical career. Starting from his early aspirations to become a musician as a travelling trombone player, the film progresses through Miller’s quest to find his own distinctive signature sound, his marriage, his meteoric success as America's favourite bandleader to his patriotic sacrifice by enlisting in the army to entertain the troops and boulster morale. This Film has been digitally remastered for DVD to improve picture and sound qualities with a Anamorphic WideScreen that automatically adjust to your tv picture size. ...and the cast is again top rate it again takes twist and turns and builds to shocking climax Cast George C Scott:Lt Kinderman Ed Flanders Jason Miller :Priest Scott Wilson Nicol Williamson:Father Morning Brad Dourif Director William Peter Blatty who takes his book and gives it a screen play to die for which takes us from where the original ended to darker seedier side of life that helps to make this a dark eary film from beginning to end DVD extras Sadly none i don't understand why but the set its self is well worth getting And thats all of the set i hope this was some use for you if you see this in a shop get it its well worth it all in all 9 hours and 25 mins of terror enjoy... Advantages: Stunning visuals, Epic Battles, Larger than life characters

.... The Visuals Visually your probably well aware how amazing this film looks and style pours from every amazing shot. From faithfully incorporating panels from Frank Miller's work to stunning use of lightning to convay mood, its a marvel to look at. Its no surprise that even critics of the film still appaulded the art before them. Slow-motion isn't a gimmick in this movie, its merely a means to further appreciate whats in front of you. Never before have i seen a battle where despite the brutality being displayed the beauty somehow remained constant. Its a genuine artistic achievement that even without my appreciation for the rest of the film i'd probably go out and buy as soon as it was available. Its really that well realised on-screen. This weeks P.C outcry is... My appreciation of this film is strangely made stronger by hearing others... Read review
