This disturbing and very frightening movie called Ed Gein is a true story. Any horror movie based on a true story is terrifying but I promise you unless you have seen this you haven't been scared senseless!

Edward Theodore (Ed Gein) was born on August 27th 1906. I guess the real motive for his insanity was his mother Augusta. Augusta was highly religious and had rather strange views e.g she was disgusted by sex and taught her boys never to be lured into womens traps and forbid them to have sex, okay fair enough she hates sex but then why did she have sex atleast 3 times?! (she conceived 3 boys) Augusta threatened her boys by telling them they would go to hell if they had any sexual desires.
Augusta died after a series of strokes. Ed was traumatised as he had lost his only love and best friend. Ed Gein's main hobbies were to visit the graveyard at night *cough* freak! After his mothers death was the time Ed started to become insane. He would read death-cult magazines and even though he denied it police now think he was having sexual encounters with dead women.

Plot outline: -

Ed Gein reguarly exhumed bodies. What he did with these bodies was beyond belief.....
Ed beheaded his victims and hung them on bedposts and doors, cut off lips and tied them on strings and many other sick things but I'll let you discover those! He also babysat and told the children what he done to these women and they told their parents and never visited again. Ed got weirder by the minute....

My opinion: -

This film is fantastically scary and one of the few movies that has actually frightened me. I watched this when I was pregnant and it nearly made me go into labour lmao. This film is so gruesome and I do think the director should have calmed it down slightly or alot! I do not think this film is suitable for tv but never the less it is still fantastic! The director was a very talented man and all of the effects looked realistic to a point what you were actually seeing looked so real. The actors in this movie were absolutely thrilling especially Steve Railsback. I give this film 10/10 and I would recommend to any horror fanatic.

Rating - Certificate 18.

Warning - Do NOT watch this movie if you are easily scared. I do warn you this will play on your mind and scenes will scare you so much. Erm, please listen to me when I say do not eat during this movie!

Ed Gein's actions also played a part in a few films including Silence Of The Lambs and Physco.
