East is East is a hilarious film set in 1971 in Salford and based around a pakistani chip shop owner called George Khan who is trying to raise his 7 children to be traditional respectable pakistani's but doesn't have much luck. The characters are true individuals and will bring both tears of laughter and sadness to your eyes as the story unfolds. 2 familiar characters in the film are the actors who play Vik and Dev in Coronation street.
