...The Dalek Invasion of Earth is part of the classic series featuring the original TARDIS crew of the First Doctor played by William Hartnell and his grandaughter Susan and her two school teachers Barbara Wright and Ian Chesterton, and of course the Daleks.
The two school teachers finally find themselves back in London but soon discover that all is not well.
This story benefits greatly from the four regulars who are by this stage really comfortable with each other. The story is split in two almost immediately with Barbara and Susan going missing. The Doctor and Ian are brought face to face with a Dalek.
The central idea is quite basic, an invasion of Earth, and is repeated during the run of the series on a number of occasions. The supporting characters are well rounded and are there to eventually get the four time travellers...

The Quiet Earth is a masterpiece of New Zealand filmmaking; it was the first New Zealand made film I had ever seen. Advantages: The DVD looks and sounds terrific...every element falls into place beautifully... Disadvantages: those who hate Romeo & Juliet probably wont bother to give it a chance...
...When I was growing up, my parents had two great musicals on the same tape---WEST SIDE STORY and GREASE. My mother knew I would enjoy GREASE more than WEST SIDE STORY and when I tried to watch it, I wasn't really impressed with it, and all I remembered from it was it starting with an aerial shot of Manhattan. I wasn't until this year that I saw WEST SIDE STORY in all its glory, after I was recommended to buy the DVD by a very good friend. Some of my favorite musicals have been MY FAIR LADY, 1776, and the SOUTH PARK movie (weird collection, I know), but I was absolutely overwhelmed by the sheer power and energy of WEST SIDE STORY. And now I'm glad to be writing a review on it, as I tell you about the film---and the experiance I had while watching it.
First of all, I know everyone out there doesn't like musicals...
