This is a dvd i didnt think would happen,wwe holding its very own ECW ppv. A great idea and what an event it was.
I was originally in two minds about buying it as it only listed 5 bouts on the back of the dvd despite listining a load of superstars that appeared on event.
If fact there are plenty of fights on this dvd,including a great riot at the end (only in ecw). Lance storm vs chris jericho is an impressive oppening bout and sets the standard for the rest of the event.
With rey mysterio,super crazy,chris benoit and the late eddie guerrero it deffinatly showcases some of wwe's current talent as well. My favorite bout was masato tanaka vs mike awsome, a classic which saw both wretlers give it everything they had,anyone who has seen these two face off in the past will know what i mean.
Chris benoit vs eddie guerro was another bout that stood out,they certainly didnt hold back at all.I think that the fact that this was a one off ppv motivated the wrestlers especially as most of them were passionate about ecw and wanted to preform to the best of there abilitys. Rey mysterio was impressive against Psicosis, he pulled out some moves that he simply wouldnt do in wwe.
An injured Rob van dam made an apperance as well and was telling the crowd how dissapointed he was that he couldnt preform when rhino attacked him, this led to a match between Rhino & Sabu. With Tajiri,little guido,Tommy dreamer,Sandman and the dudley boys in action packed bouts too,its a great reminder of how good ecw was.
A lack of bonus features is its only downfall, some additional matches would of been nice but that dosent stop this from being the best ecw dvd yet and a dvd the wwe should be proud of.
