Duty free the second series,
This was originally on our screens in1985 but the dvd was only released in 2004
the characters: David played by Keith Barron Amy played by Gwen Taylor Linda played by Joanna Van Gyseghem Robert played by Neil Stacy
just when you thought it was safe to watch television again, those people at Granada television release another series of Duty Free.
If you didn't watch the first series it didn't really matter that much as each episode didn't really carry on a full storyline,
The packaging as you can see from the picture doesn't really entice you to buy the product, as it looks quite boring, just four people sitting having a drink with the sunset behind them.
this dvd lasts for approx 2 hours and 50 minutes, which as there are only seven episodes on the disc seems quite long,
This second series again sees David and Amy, but this time not on a plane, but at home, with David looking very aggitated, but you know he's got something planned,
Amy appears home from work, as she's had to get a job, working for Aubrey Broadbent the butcher, ( Amy's old boyfriend )which annoyed David, but they had to make ends meet,
So home she comes, and David is sitting in the dark with the curtains closed, and keeps saying that there's no point to life, with no job and no money,
But then he somehow, decides that he must go on holiday with one of his old work colleagues, and after some pursuading, Amy decideds that it may do him good, but when she find out where he is going, that changes everything,
Off David goes,on holiday, arriving at the hotel San Rimo, there he is all dressed in white looking very posh, when who should turn up, but Linda, ( wearing the most awful dress you can imagine )
Robert ( Linda's husband ) is away on business, so David and Linda know that they can really be alone, but they had forgotten about the waiter.
As soon as the waiter sees David, he shouts hello, and David goes all coy.
They decide to go back to their rooms, to freshen up, as they both had booked seperate rooms, as he's supposed to be with a friend,
But back home, Amy decides to call the wife of the friend, only to be told that the friend passed away a good few years previous,
So off she trotts to the airport, but at the same time, Robert is arriving as the San Rimo, and suprises Linda, who then has to try to stop David from coming up to her room, but amongst all this confusion Amy arrives and gets the spare key from reception,
She wants to suprise David, but she is more suprised to find Robert at the bar, so they both know what is going on. All they have to do is catch them at it.
This is just a taster of what the series is like, it is full of romace, jealousy, stupidity and comedy all rolled into one, they still have the bad hair, the sets haven't changed much if at all, and the costumes don't seem to have changed much either.
There is one point of the series when Robert thinks David is a transvestite.
I really enjoyed watching this dvd, remembering the 80's again.
to buy this series costs around £5 - £7 so very cheap

I see you've posted this as a DVD review, but you've not mentioned the DVD. Are there any extras? If so, what are they and are they any good? If you add to this, or if you change it to be posted as a "Film Only" review, please let me know and I'll re-rate.
