Advantages: Great to see all the initial episodes back together Disadvantages: Hasn't really aged well to todays society
...The Dukes of Hazzard highlights fast cars, truckers, citizens' band radio, moonshine, irreverent hicks, and clueless lawmen. Dukes managed seven seasons of the tale of a Deep South family of reformed whiskey-makers and their running feud with a greedy impresario and his chief lackey, a buffoonish sheriff.
This three-disc set includes all 13 initial episodes of Dukes from 1979. At the center of the action are Sheriff Roscoe's nemeses, cousins Bo Duke (John Schneider) and Luke Duke (Tom Wopat), a couple of wild boys buzzing through the backwoods in the "General Lee," a souped-up Dodge Charger. With "The Dukes of Hazzard" it finds a middle ground, as a remake of a great TV series it is pretty poor, but as a film which takes the setting and characters of the original series and transports it forward in time it succeeds. Part of the reason for it succeeding is that it actually pokes fun at the original series, especially some of its more non PC elements and does not try to imitate...

Advantages: Nice cars, nice girls. Disadvantages: Same old sotry
...Being a "Boy Racer" the original The Fast and The Furious was an awe inspiring film, sweet cars, colourful paintwork and lots of chrome. I was eagerly anticipating the release of 2 Fast 2 Furious. The hype was there, original cast member Paul Walker was present, but no Vin Diesel, the "god like" figure from the original. There was some real action in the film, the character of Roman Pearce palays by Tyresse added a slightly comical angle. The soundtrack was real good, Ludacris providing some real goor tunes, which do suit the mood of the film. Overall the plot was a bit predictive. The two lead characters would come out on top. Possibly the worst part about the film was the car jump to boat at the end. Slightly 70s Dukes of Hazzard style. Basically didnt cut the mustard. Other than that an OK film if you wast to look at sweet cars...
