combines three distinct works, most notably 1959's masterpiece, "The Queen's Suite." Written as a personal thank you to Queen Elizabeth for her courtly reception of the Orchestra during the previous year, "The Queen's Suite" is, quite fittingly, a highly orchestrated six-part opus that tends toward beauty, grace, and elegance as opposed to heated improvisation, raw emotion, and blues inflections. From the exquisitely fluttering opener "Sunset and the Mockingbird" to the majestic and brassy "Northern Lights" to the sublimely delicate piano solo "The Single Petal of a Rose" to the fierce finale "Apes and Peacocks," the 20-minute suite is an absolutely stunning delight. This collection is rounded out by a pair of early-1970s recordings: the six-part "Goutelas Suite" is a bold and mysterious piece centered around the ruminative "Something" and hard-charging "Having at It." The three-part "Uwis Suite" is notable for "Klop," the only polka in the Duke's canon. --Marc Greilsamer

...to teach Billie Ray 'the business', and get Winthorpe out by besmirching his name and status with the firm and in society, which is hilarious. Thats where Jamie Lee Curtis comes in as Ophelia, a prostitute, who ends up helping Winthorpe. Along the way, one of the Duke's brothers attempts to win the bet early by tempting Billie Ray to be dishonest!
The story continues by showing how desperate Winthorpe becomes, because he has never had to cope without money or plastic, a home with a butler, or his girlfriend, poor thing, imagine that!!(look out for the scene where he's dressed as Santa Claus, on a bus and trying to eat a fish!) Whereas, Billie Ray is having a ball, wearing designer clothes, living in a posh house with expensive vases and a butler, and partying with all his 'friends' from the ghetto!

...and distrust from some the villager as Vianne. He is also Vianne’s temptation and the only person that she cannot seem to decipher on first meeting them. Despite a strange Romany/Irish accent (which might be realistic, I’ve never met an Romany/Irish gypsy before) Depp is good value in his role. He is suitably sensual and brooding in a carefree way and supplies the right amount of lingering looks to Binoche to make their on-screen suppressed passion believable.
One more thing to mention is the atmospheric music provided by tracks by the likes of Sidney Bechet, DukeEllington, Hoagy Carmichael and Django Reinhardt giving the film a suitable period feeling. All the major characters have also distinctive musical tags to them that encapsulate their nature and subliminally set the mood whenever they are on screen. The original music...

..., flawless exterior, she knows that she is only worth what a man is prepared to pay for her. Her song, One Day I’ll Fly Away, tells the audience how much she wants to get away from the Moulin Rouge and experience life in a different way. Above all, she wants to be a real actress, not a cheap, seedy showgirl.
Ewan McGregor plays the casually gorgeous, aspiring writer Christian. He believes in love and is desperate to experience it – even though for him, it ends in heartbreak. He sees things in a very simple, straightforward manner. His ambition and ideals (Truth, Beauty, Freedom, Love) drive him to achieve what he really wants to. Unfortunately for Christian, he also experience one of lives greatest evils – jealousy.
Richard Roxburgh is The Duke. A smarmy, stuckup, twisted man who is filthy rich but also incredibly evil. He...
