...Fans of Due South have had to wait a very long time for the series to be available on DVD, but this is a box set worth waiting for. It contains every single episode from the three seasons of the show. In season one we meet Benton Frasier, a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and a stickler for the rules and appropriate behaviour. Absolutely gorgeous, but apparently unaware of the effect he has on women, Frasier moves to Chicago (with trusty wolf Diefenbaker) to find his father's killer, then stays on to help Chicago cop Ray solve his cases. Towards the end of season one we discover that Frasier does understand the meaning of love, and his willing to give his life for it. ...Family guy has stood the test of time. After being taken off the air a couple of times due to complaints it has been brought back time and again due to mass popularity and support. What your getting from this set is season 3. If you have seasons 1 and 2 then your in the right place but if not i would recommend starting with season 1. Not due to any ongoing storylines in particulas but there are a few things that carry on from episode to episdoe and character realationships do build ever so slightly throughout the seasons. Anyway... Family guy is a very funny series. Its a bit of a mix between the simpsons and south park. It has both intelligent and down right rude! Some parts are offensive but if you can look past this and realise its not a vicious style of offensive comedy i cannout stress how mcuh you need family guy in your life... Read review

Advantages: Great concept. Good characters and great plot
Disadvantages: The ending left me feeling a little disappointed as it was slightly weak

However, by the end the majority of the 'loose ends' were tied up and I found myself drooling in anticipation for the start of the second season which BBC2 has the rights to and is to be shown later this year!!! In terms of the dvd, there are a number of special features including the original pilot (71 mins) which was never aired on tv; deleted scenes; making of heroes; special effects; the stunts; The score; Profile of the artist Tim Sale and audio commentaries with the crew and creator Tim Kring. All these add great extras to the dvd box set and last almost 3 hours. The box set has a certificate 15 due to some of the scenes in the series which may not be suitable for children.
