Drama Pack - Against The Wall / Tiger Warsaw / Split Decisions / The Whistle Blower / Darrow (DVD)

Advantages: One off those old classic's
Disadvantages: Not really for those young adult's.

...I went visiting my Dad the other day he can't move to great so he tend's to sit in his chair watching alot of film's on DVD'S because it's alot easier for him to use well so he say's I just think he's being an old git so he can keep up with the gagets in life so we bought him a DVD player for his christmas and he phones regular as clock work for what DVD he want's this week. But this week I bet him to it. We were shopping in HMV for CD'S for my son when we came across The Whistle Blower for a great price of £5.99. I knew my dad would like it anything with Michael Caine in it was well worth watching again and again I could hear him say. We went around to my dad's. Advantages: Well-made, visually intriguing film that blends many good things together
Disadvantages: Arguably too long, slow in places and not what people will expect from the genre

Director Ang Lee always struck me as a strange choice for the film, given his previous association with Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon but his skill means that Hulk is stylish as well as interesting and filled with little touches that are entirely appropriate to the subject matter. The film’s scenes progress via a selection of split-screen images, strange liquid effects, freeze-frames and other touches that give the whole project an authentic comic book feel, without resorting to the Batman school of “Kapow!” Speech bubbles. Having read about this prior to watching the film, I had wondered whether I would find these techniques rather irritating, but in reality I absolutely loved them because they made the film feel unusual and innovative.
