triple gangster action!
Advantages: 3 DVD's for the less than the price of 1! fantastic action packed films
Disadvantages: the box is cardboard, would have been better in plastic but not really a major issue
...boyfriends birthday as he loves Green Street and thought the other two films would probably be to his taste too!
I bought the boxset in tesco of all places for just £6 which is an absolute bargain for 3 great DVD's.

I didnt think I would enjoy this film as it is about football (yawn!) but thought I'd give it a go anyway as it was his birthday! I was surprised to find that I really enjoyed the film and you dont need to be a football ...
...storyline. Green Street is about two rival London firms in a bitter battle that ends in tragedy. The main character Matt Buckner, is played by Elijah Wood which when I read thought would be an unlikely choice for a film like this, however he displayed some fantastic acting and I was extremely impressed with his performance. Don't Bother Breaking In
Advantages: Some solid perfomances.
Disadvantages: Stodgy writing, stolid direction and unlikeable characters.
A series of break-ins at his architecture firm’s new offices in King’s Cross bring Will into contact with fifteen year-old Miro. Will’s investigations lead to him getting involved with boy’s mother Amira, a Bosnian ex-pat who works as a tailor. Scum - the lowest of the low
Advantages: Great acting, poor quality video transfer on the 15 version.
Disadvantages: Horrific scenes of violence

It is with two minds I write this review. In one I found the film facinating in some parts as to see what it was like in prison for young people in times past. However I watched the 18 version of it and I was horrified by the violence in which I saw. I have never seen a film as horrific and graphic as this.
This is basically a film about Borstal Prison and its inmates on one of its wings. It is a film all about ...
...as well as the inmates and other inmates within their own heirarchy. On a basic level this film is well written and the realsitic element makes you almost feel like your there and can sympathise with those who have been incarcerated there - you do develop some empathy for them.
The violence, especially in the 18 version is excessive and graphic, and will put many people off, especially the rape scene, which I found very disturbing and realistic ...

RAY WINSTONE IN ANOTHER STARK, POWERFUL DRAMA
Advantages: The supreb cast - especially Ray Winstone and kathy Burke

Series Background
