This film is truly thought-provoking. It really brings reality to life. For many of us, myself included, take things for granted, like our major senses; this film puts us in our place. However it does portray this theme in a subtle way. The subject of "blindless" is reversed- as in a blind man gains his sight and the difficulties of adapting to life with light are highlighted. ...movie! This a review of the DVD version. Take the wonderful Sir Anthony Hopkins who is a fellow Welshman & we share the same birthday! This is a true story but I would have liked to have known how many things in the film really are true (like the policeman letting him off after speeding in Nevada). My only real gripe with the movie is the accent of the taxi driver who takes Burt to Hollywood, his accent comes and goes which annoyed me a little bit. Advantages: Strong performances from leading actors
Disadvantages: A bit predictable towards the end, a but unbelievable

This was once again a strong performance from the lead two actors. There was stunning imagery in this film, and although some may consider the storyline quite unbelievable, I believe it was a convincing performance by both characters, especially Aamir Khan, who is perfect in his role as a cheeky tour guide who forms a close relationship with a blind woman, however there is is a secret which remains undiscovered, until half way throught the film. ...
