CASINO is the Best Gangster film ever made

Advantages: Makes you glad YOU didn't live there then!
Disadvantages: nothing really

Bought this on video (but now have it on DVD) when it first came out (in the early 90's) because I have always thought Scorcese is a great director and de Niro a marvellous actor and ever since I periodically watch it. In my opinion this is the BEST gangster film ever made and it's based on the truth. There again, Scorcese is the BEST Director of this film genre. Robert de Niro & Joe Pesci are ideally paired and the film comes alive with their dialogue, particularly when they remember 'back home, years ago'. Advantages: Entertaining, Good Performances, Based on True Story
Disadvantages: Excessive Violence and Bad Language

The Mighty Sharon Stone?

Advantages: Well acted. Heart warming story.
Disadvantages: Soppy and sentimental.
