Pride and Prejudice (2005)

Advantages: Actors' performances, not too serious.
Disadvantages: Sometimes confusing.

A real film bound to make you smile and cry

Advantages: Brilliant... Truly Brillaint
Disadvantages: I went through a whole box of tissues from non-stop crying

There are hundreds of films about single mothers and their experiences but this was totally refreshing to see a film where its about the father role and him doing his best to take care of his son. The best dvd adaptation of the book

Advantages: Fantastic.
Disadvantages: There are none

I am a big fan of "costume dramas" and I remember watching this when it was first shown on the BBC and I loved it. I am sure I have seen it ten times since then and I look forward to watching it again, it is a series I never tire of. Advantages: This brings history starkly into focus
