A bunch of nuts in a great film
Advantages: Awesome cast give great performances Disadvantages: Some bits can be difficult to watch
...me from Poltergeist 2) and one of the patients is Michael Berryman (better known as a hill person from the original version of The Hills Have Eyes). Another one of the patients is Vincent Schiavelli (best known as the subway ghost who trains Patrick Swayze how to move objects in Ghost). Randles planned escape fails due to excessive alcohol, the aftermath of the party when the patients are lined up by the head Nurse as they all behave like naughty ... ...bed with one of the women Randle had invited into the hospital and is welcomed back to the group like a conquering hero having had sex with her. His stutter had gone completely until Nurse Ratched mentions telling his mother. The blame for Billy's suicide can only placed on one person, Nurse Ratched and Randle's almost fatal attack on her is not without merit. We are left to assume that Randle has been given possibly a lobotomy after attacking and ...

Let the piano do the talking
Advantages: interesting story, excellent acting, Disadvantages: expected more
...into this movie knowing about the oscars it had won and having been recommended by several friends, I expected something good. As a fan of period films, this movie is set in the 1850's, New Zealand. Ada (Holly Hunter) is a mute who with her young daughter Flora(Ann Paquin) braves the dangerous journey across the world. We see the movie start with them landing with all their belongings, including the priceless piano. Life begins in the leafy forest ... ...Things take a turn for the worse when her new Husband sells her piano a neighbour, George (Harvey Keitel). George however, tells Ada she may earn back her piano by giving him piano lessons. Through the lessons, we see a turbulant but intreging relationship form. This movie wasn't what I expected, yet produced some awesome performances. Inparticular little, Ann Paquin, the devoted daughter and voice of Ada to the outside world puts in a great performance. ...

Newman as charismatic as ever.
Advantages: Great scenario, oustanding acting performance.. Disadvantages: Absolutely none for me
...**********************
Luke Jackson aka Cool Hand Luke is sent to correctional jail in 1948 (prisoner number 37) but intends to live his life as he pleases, not willing to conform to the prison rules, he escapes (several times), he wants to be free, because he wants to see his dying mother, he escapes simply because he doesn't belong there, he is a free spirit.
A strong relationship will build between the inmates, the strongest of all with Dragline ... ...and that my friends is Cool Hand Luke. I think this is exactly how the director (Stuart Rosenberg) wanted it ... if not, the final result is probably better than he ever expected because this 2 hour movie makes you feel for the main character in many ways...funny, charming, cool, brilliant, painful are all adjectives you will go through when watching this prison drama.
Moreover this movie is one of the great films about the carceral environment ...

One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest (Special Edition)
Advantages: A classic film, beautifully acted Disadvantages: A little slow moving at times
...2. "The Making of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," a 48-minute documentary featuring the actors, the moviemakers, and writer Ken Kesey recounting the history of the original novel to its stage and movie adaptations
I found this bonus feature a good addition to the film. I did find that it went on a bit too long though and lost interest. That said though some aspects are fascinating despite it being a little slow. 3. Eight additional scenes
An ... ...they did not include them into the final cut of the film.
Overall I would say it is a very good film and the extras which come with the special edition are worth watching and are great value for money (£5.97 from Amazon). The 133 min film and over an hour of extras are great for first time viewers and original lovers of the film who would like to see the extras. I would definitely recommend this film. ...

A sequel worth watching!!!
Advantages: Fantastically acted, great style and charisma about the film Disadvantages: None of note
...'The Hustler originally released in the early sixties then this basically is a continuation from that, for those of you that havent it is as the film title would suggest about a Fast but brilliant pool hustler that goes round making money etc by hustling rich folk and winning competitions.
The main character in the original Hustler movie Fast Eddie Felzon is now a middle aged man who has pretty much finished in the world of pool but he one day comes ... ...at a younger age. The problem is the young kid has no control, he makes it very obvious when he is hustling and doesn;t know how to allow a few games to be lost before winning for the bigger stake, He just keeps winning as he hates losing.
The young kid who is in this film played by a very young Tom Cruise is late teens early 20's sort of age and Fast Eddie (Paul Newman) decides to get him onside and teach him how to hustle like a pro.
Enough about ...
