A real film bound to make you smile and cry
Advantages: Brilliant... Truly Brillaint Disadvantages: I went through a whole box of tissues from non-stop crying
...is so different from all the other films that he has featured in. There are hundreds of films about single mothers and their experiences but this was totally refreshing to see a film where its about the father role and him doing his best to take care of his son.
As I have already said the film stars Will Smith and is all about his struggles to create a better life for his son. His son is played by his own so, Jaden Smith, which I thought was amazing ... ...are forced to sleep on the streets. Throughout the film you find yourself wishing someone would give the man a chance as he really fights for his son.
After a break through Will Smith is given the break he deserved and shows his true grattitude and even then at a time where it should be a happy event you still find yourself reaching for the tissue. After getting his much awaited good news he rushes to his son to tell him an the pair are beaming ...

From A Better Time
Advantages: Nice cosy family movie Disadvantages: Blue Ray format is a failure
In watching The Pursuit of Happyness your sent time travelling, back to 1981; not simply because the movie is set in 1981, but from a moral standpoint the movie feels like it was actually made in 1981. I’m reminded in lots of ways by the movie Kramer Vs Kramer, as it has a certain sort of ethical feel about it. This heart-warming tale provides a certain level of clarity and innocence that we seldom see nowadays.
Chris Gardner to a certain degree ... ...be true. And that was the point they were too good to be true, and some years later Chris is still trying to sell them. In that time his beautiful wife Linda has become miserable and full of resentment, and they have had a son called Christopher. Chris spends his days travelling around San Francisco trying to sell his machines, but they are too expensive for anyone to want to buy. For several months Chris has not sold a single machine, and the pressures ...

The Pursuit of Dollarness
Advantages: Some committed performances. Disadvantages: Hackneyed writing and sickly sentimentality.
...prestigious firm of stockbrokers in the hope of winning a full-time high-paying job. But without any money coming in, he and his son are evicted from their apartment and forced to sleep wherever they can find refuge. Despite his difficulties or perhaps because of them, Chris works and fights harder to overcome his obstacles and make the most of his opportunities.
Italian director Gabriele Muccino falls prey to the same disease as many of his filmmaking ... ...of those eras where even the most limited of people can achieve great things if they continually plug way. They aren’t subject to depression or long-running despair. But just because the film is set in the eighties, it doesn’t mean it should feel like it was shot then. The movie is entirely lacking in subtlety. Just in case you can’t grasp what’s going on, there is a pointless voice-over narrative (delivered in vaguely nostalgic and cheery tones ...

The Pursuit Of Dollar Signs [Film Only]
Advantages: Fine acting-wise Disadvantages: A mixed message, characters not well rounded
...there's barely a smile amongst the homeless but at the stockbrokers' it's as if it were a place without pressure - it's people wearing a smile to go along with their suits. Even those on unpaid internship, where only 1 in 20 make the grade - instead of showing any realistic signs of a struggle, it'd rather make a (sole) mockery of someone overlooking their test.
This feels more like the pursuit of money than it is of happiness. Actually throughout, ... ...for his son Christopher, then the film shows that a parent leaving a child is not too huge a deal. The mother seems to be conveniently forgotten, but in one scene where Christopher mentions her, it's as if the blame is portioned onto her so that Chris comes blame-free so that we feel for him - whereas in truth he's just as responsible for theirs being in such a predicament.
As such, the film equates money with happiness. Not only do they spell this ...
