Great Expectations - The Book
My recollection of the book 'Great Expectations' (by Charles Dickens if there is anyone who doesn't know!) is somewhat hazy, what with GCSEs being 11 years ago and not really paying attention to the book at the time - to be honest I'm not really a fan of Dickens, at least I wasn't at 15. The life of our Lord
Advantages: Fantastic acting, direction, location
Disadvantages: None at all

When Dave asked me if there were any DVD's that I would like as part of my Christmas present I said that I would like the DVD of Jesus of Nazareth so that I could watch it again whenever I wanted to.
The one that Dave got for me was the Special Edition DVD in a black metal case with a picture of the face of Jesus (Robert Powell) on the front.

The Lull Before the Storm
Advantages: A perfectly observed and beautifully acted drama.
Disadvantages: Perhaps a little too sedate for some.
The trouble with being a cold-hearted cynic is that now and again I can't stand the pressure and have to release it by being warm and sentimental for a while. I try not to show this sinister side of myself any more than I have to and usually withdraw from polite society until the darkness returns to claim me. Lolita - a Kubrick classic
Advantages: I cant begin to explain how amazing this film is.
Disadvantages: None

Advantages: Great acting, great dialogue
