Advantages: Solid performances, excellent screenplay.
Disadvantages: None.

I watched this movie because from the short synopsis on Sky's information page it sounded as though it would be a good one. Plus Sally Field is one of my favourite actresses. My expectations were met. Not once throughout the course of the film did I find myself glancing at the clock in boredom. War + Romance = Great Film!

Advantages: Great story, excellent acting and effects
Disadvantages: Just a little too long

Cold Mountain is another film which I purchased after reading a brilliant review on it and I have to say that I completely agree with the review about this film. Not a good week for Her Majesty!

Altman does British Costume Drama to Perfection

Advantages: A really good film with a great cast
