Sixteen year old Juno falls pregnant after one-time sex with her friend Bleeker. She considers the possibilities - having an abortion, having the baby or adoption, and decides on the latter. Along with her father, she pays a visit to an infertile couple, Vanessa and Paul, wanting to adopt, and decides that they are ideal for her baby, particularly as Paul's taste in music appeals to Juno. JANE EYRE- CLASSIC

Advantages: GREAT FILM AND STORY LINE
Disadvantages: NONE!

Jane Eyre- What can I say I love this film... Ever since this was on BBC on a Sunday night, I found myself hooked to it. I am youngish and I would never have thought I would have liked one of the Bronte tales, as this is what my Nan enjoys but I really enjoyed it that much I had to get the DVD version! The Novel Itself This is an adaptation of Charlotte Bronte's novel 'Jane Eyre'. This was a much loved classic and BBC provide this excellent version! ...

The best version ever!

Advantages: Actors superb
Disadvantages: Length of film

...of the different versions of Jane Eyre, this is, in my opinion, supremely the best. I first saw this film after I had read the book and the film brought the book to life. The chemistry between Leila Clarke and Timothy Dalton with the charectors of Mr Rochester and Jane Eyre cannot be beaten. Although it it long in length, I think it is worth the wait. There is a delightful scene where Mr Rochester calls Jane a little niggot, you can see the laughter ...

DO NOT waste your money!!

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Poorly told

...found Franco Zeffirelli's adaption of Jane Eyre very disappointing and believe that anybody else who loves the book would feel the same. The storyline, particularly the ending, is so rushed it feels as though you could blink and miss an important part. Seeing as the film is under 2 hours long, that's hardly surprising. A great work or literature shouldn't be condensed in such a way. It is irritatingly twee at times with a very 'happily ever after' ...
...which should be an indication of it's quality. If you want to see a decent adaptation of this classic then I'd suggest you buy the 2006 BBC version starring Ruth Wilson and Toby Stephens who are both brilliant in it. It consists of 4 episodes each lasting an hour which gives the story line the depth it needs. ...
