Gone with the wind
Advantages: lavish dated drama with endless detail, finery and spectcle
Disadvantages: too long, over done , too many tricks for the viewer
This epic is big in every sense of the word. It is a blockbuster to end all blockbusters.
The light and shade of the intense colour sometimes overwhelms
the speeches in each scene. Can you spot where Clark Gable isnt
dancing?
Can you spot the civil war scene where humans werent used?
The film has various effects and tricks to keep you going through
the extended viewing time.
It is a marathon of eye candy and with every part polished to shine

Advantages: Brilliant story, star filled cast, a history lesson as well as a film
Disadvantages: Long for some peoples tastes at 3 hours 45
...a review about something like Gone with the Wind? Perhaps by first pointing out this is one of the greats, a classic which you should at least watch at some point, whether you become a fan or hate it, just so you have an opinion on the subject.
Faced with a long sunday with nothing else to do, I deided to rewatch one of my all time favorites. So I popped it on at just before 10am and finished watching about 30 mins ago. The Bare Facts

Plotline has gone baby gone
Advantages: You cant switch this film off
Disadvantages: its all a bit silly and what makes Patrick so qualified?

Plot – Amanda, a four year old girl from Boston goes missing and her aunt hires private investigate Patrick (Affleck) to help find her. Her own mother however seems to be less concerned. Will he find her in time and why did she go missing in the first place?
Whats it like? – Scarily similar to the Madeleine McCann case, this film might cut too close to the bone for some people. Unlike the McCann’s though, the family involved ...
