Two for the road- a timeless classic

Advantages: Audrey Hepburn and Albert Finney work so well together
Disadvantages: Slightly depressing...and too long!

...seems to be split into two sections- the happier first secion and the darker second. Arguement after arguement becomes rather monotonous in the second half, but the loveness of the pairing of Hepburn and Finney shines through. As always, Hepburn acts as rather a clothes horse during the film, and here we see her in a range of Mary Quant outfits, epitomising the 60's era. ...perfect direction to make this film such a memorable one, and change to what the audience would come to expect from an Audrey Hepburn picture. Sadly for Hepburn fans there are no extras on the DVD. It would have been nice to see some form of short documentary. ...

If I ever saw it...this is how it would look

Advantages: Its Excellent
Disadvantages: quite graphic

An amazing true story

Advantages: Great acting, great portayal of a fascinating true story
Disadvantages: There aren't any

Erin Brockovich is the incredible uplifting true story about a young mother with 3 young children who manages to win a legal damages of 6 million dollars for a small town when she discovers that the water pipes have been poisoned & have been making people seriously ill & even killing them. Erin Brockovich, played by Julia Roberts is arguably her best performance to date & with the exception of Pretty Woman is my favourite film of hers. She's fantastic ...

Advantages: Return to form for Tim Burton, magical whimsy with real heart
Disadvantages: Occassional very brief slow patches, but virtually no complaints
