Advantages: Brilliant special effects, solid storyline and acting, looks and sound terrific on Blu-ray
Disadvantages: None! A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Fly fishing and drinking in Montana

Advantages: Gentle story, well-filmed
Disadvantages: Goes on for too long

He is likeable though and the love he clearly has for his brother is touching. I much prefer Brad Pitt as Paul Maclean though. Pitt was still very young at this point (the film was made in 1992), and he looks amazing - but it is his bad boy characters that is so attractive. There is obviously a lot more going on ...

Shane Meadows - the Euro Star of directing!

Advantages: Solid short
Disadvantages: Not Meadows best

Originally this commission was supposed to be a publicity film for the new Eurostar service from the refurbished St Pancreas Station and they wanted Meadows to do some sort of infomercial. But he didn't fancy making shorts about kids and families waving on trains ...
