Advantages: Shiny swords!
Disadvantages: There's no budget, no script editor and stunningly average acting.
...to have the story of Spartacus told to you with talking pictures, then it's the Kirk Douglas movie all the way. It's got a better script, bigger budget and far, far better actors. There really isn't the faintest need for a remake, especially such a poor one as this. Man, those trees are BIG...
Advantages: Entertaining, good performances
Disadvantages: Eve Miller's performance, rather heavy-handed treatment of a worthy message, poor sound quality
The Big Trees looks like it's going to be a traditional Western to begin with, which to me isn't a great thing - it's definitely not a genre I'm into (unless it's a spoof!). Advantages: The story and chemistry between the two characters.
Disadvantages: Almost none, maybe it would be better if it is based on modern life say, 21st century.
