John Q the truth

only just watched John Q and it is brillaint, it is so meaning full and is excatly what is wrong with men of today. it is such a good film, it stars denzel washington which alone must means an excellent film. the film is not a action film really, although there are gun fights etc. it is more of a story of meaning than how many men can one man take down, denzal plays a dad whos sons heart has inflated along with his lungs. his son needs a new heart ...

Review of My Sister's Keeper

Gripping portrayal of a true to life kidnapping and murder hunt

Advantages: Great true to life portrayal of events and superb character performances
Disadvantages: Only the crime that led to its filming

...OVERALL - Alpha Dog doesnt stray away from the facts of what actually happened, although glammed up a little by getting in very good young actors to play the roles, it tells a harrowing story of a kidnapping and murder. You warm to Nicholas and his familys plight in him going missing but you are also pushed into the middle of Johnnys gang dynamics and follow them as there fateful decisions are made. Review of Alpha Dog (DVD)

One of the best films of our time

Advantages: Made wonderfully, filled with emotion and wonder

...to watch this film at the cinema, I must admit, I didn't expect much, but as I watched, I could see it was a masterpiece. The story is about a woman who is in a care home and the man who visits her everyday to read to her. The film is majoritaly made up of the scenes of the story being told to her. From these scenes we discover that they were both in love when they were teenagers. As the film goes on we see events unfold spanning the couples life. ...
