...usual, I won't tell you the whole story as I don't want to spoil the movie for you. The movie is set in both Tuscany and the Sahara desert. The cinematography is absolutely beautiful: this film is visually stunning (see the dreamy sand dunes in the opening credit). WOW. This is the mother of all boxsets literally. I only saw parts of the four season and decided to buy the first season and I have never looked back.
