You become addicted to Amin, in the way the doctor does and you too go through the spiral of decadence and moral crisis the doctor does. Extras include commentary by the director (which I still need to listen to), the documentary about Armin and how he is portrayed in the film is quite good. In my personal opinion i adored this story, it has the late heath ledger in and to be honest it doesn't have the same effect watching it knowing that he isn't around anymore. However, I fully believe that it's a moving story with outstanding characters who fall in love and become lodged into the viewers heart. I was determined to watch The History Boys ever since reading Alan Bennett’s book “Untold Stories” which made several tantalising references to the play / film. The DVD was released in Britain on 5 Mar 2007, so I thought it would be an easy purchase.
