Advantages: Lots of gym!
Disadvantages: Not a lot of (believable) story

Disadvantages: bit of a weird structuring to the film

The start & structure of this film are a bit weird as the film actually starts about 10 minutes from the end of the story as the illusionist Isenheim (played very by Ed Norton who suited this role perfectly, I couldn't think of any better to cast) is being arrested. Advantages: A couple of nice moments
Disadvantages: It's exceptionally bland

...that are used to show Nina's ghostly father look somewhat cheap. Merely smearing the lens in Vaseline and lighting him with fairy lights doesn't make him ethereal - just fuzzy. Sadly it fails as a film about food as well because Parmar has no idea how to shoot it. If you watch "Eat, Drink, Man, Woman" you'll be salivating within the first five minutes as the chef cooks up his fantastic meals. Here you get the impression the director isn't that bothered ...
