Crown Duel
Advantages: Suspense, fear, unknowingness Disadvantages: None
...first reason therefore being that Duel is possibly one of those most tension-packed films ever made. From the moment our protagonist, one David Mann, in his battered and aptly-named Plymouth Valiant, driving peacefully on a sunny Californian highway, starts to become to the target of a rusty Peterbilt truck, the tension never abates for one second. The one scene lasts for more or less the whole film, leaving little time for relief of any sort.
In ... ...kind of unknowing fear that Duel plays upon throughout; ever increasing from not even being confident that anything out of the ordinary is happening. Any attempt to introduce something as measured; something as civilised as reason into such a primal situation would only serve as an anti-climax.
The only other real scene involves Mann in a café. This is at least as anxiety-racked as the main chase scene. Mann believes there is a good chance the driver ...

Classic description of the "female" Eternal City
Advantages: INTELLIGENT, humorous, sarcastic, depictive, allegoric, surrealistic, insider's view of Rome Disadvantages: (although it is not a disadvantage for me) very fast scene changes, may miss the plot if not used to Fellini's work
...film, perfect example of Federico Fellini's work. However, the film is rather difficult to understand and I would not recommend it to those who are not interested in alternative cinema. In this review I try to explain the concept of Roma, as I've been always interested in Fellini's work and I think I can give a clear picture of the one of his most popular films.
3 POINTS OF VIEWING THE CITY
In a nutshell, "Roma" displays three different essential ... ...introduced through memory: Young Federico Fellini's first impressions of Rome. He recalls his longing to visit Rome since he was a child, his first experiences in the city as a teenager; we can observe the impact that the city has on his still provincial spirit and way of thinking. He has to deal with the typical Romans, the family he's living with in a roman family house and he has to follow their everyday life.
Secondly, Rome is introduced through ...

Noise. noise everywhere
Advantages: Well directed with some excellent photography and songs Disadvantages: Jaya bhaduri's role could have been better
Shor (Noise) - 1972
This was one of the better made films of of the mid seventies...
One can easily say that it is one of Manoj Kumar's best films.Manoj Kumar began his film career in the late fifties with a small role in the film 'Fashion' and went unnoticed except for some smaller films, for a couple of years. He got his big break in 1962 with ' Hariyali aur raasta' , which was an extremely successful film, and later acted in a string of very ... ...the nickname Mr Bharath..
Shor (1972) directed and produced by Manoj Kumar where he starred opposite Jaya Bhaduri, was not a huge box office success. It was a well made film and had some exceptional photography, which was the highlight of the film and it did feature the memorable song Ek Pyar Ka Nagma Hai, a melodious duet by Lata Mangeshkar and Mukesh .The song was beautifully picturised and became the focal point of the film.

Sex and the City
Advantages: funny, great performance Disadvantages: long
...so many exciting reviews on Sex and the City that I decided I watch it. It is a real chick flick romantic comedy and that evening it was the perfect entertainment for me. The film was written and directed by Michael Patrick King. Actually he was the co-producer of the film as well with Sarah Jessica Parker and Darren Star. Michael Patrick King is an American film director and screenplay writer. Besides Sex and the City he wrote the screenplay of ... ...balance. She and Steve have sex about twice a year and even then she is not so involved. She is hurt and devastated when Steve confesses that he had sex with another woman. Miranda separates immediately from him and sees no chance to forgive him. Charlotte has a happy family since they adopted Lily. She is a beautiful girl. Charlotte soon realises that since they gave up trying to have a baby she is pregnant. Can she carry out the baby? My opinion ...

There's final hits and final hits. What kind is this one to be?
Advantages: One Of The Best Films To Come Out Of The UK. Disadvantages: None!
...I first saw the film Trainspotting after hearing so much controversy about it on television, from reading about it in the newspapers and from everyone talking about it around me at the time. It was all everyone was talking about on it's release in 1996 and of course I just had to see it for myself to see what all the hype was about. Well I went to the pictures to watch this film and was quite shocked by this outrageously, yet brilliant tale of five ... ...ago that my husband purchased Trainspotting to add to our DVD collection as we both really enjoyed watching it over the years at various times on television (in a sick kind of way I guess). He picked it up second-hand for £1 at a car boot sale, so it certainly was a great bargain. This film really will not be suited to everyone though. I think you will either love it like I do, or absolutely hate it. It certainly is worth watching once though just ...
