Gives you a headache
Advantages: None! Disadvantages: The entire movie!!
Do NOT watch this movie. It is so annoying!! Rather, Twinkle is so annoying! Initially, this movie is reminiscent of Sholay where Twinkle and brother live in a little village thats shaken to its roots by bad guy "Ghoojar" (or something similar). She (twinkle) constantly glares at everyone to portray the image of a ruthless vengeful individual but all she succeeds in doing is looking like her eyes are twitching. The story gets going when her brother ... ...loving sister vows revenge on the villain who wears silly blue contacts for some unknown reason. She spends the entire movie shrieking "Ghoojhar" and things to the effect of "mey tera sarvanaash kardoongee!!" (yawn)
Enter the heroes Amir khan plus real life brother who play a minor role as the love interest and sidekick respectively. They act decently but their performances are overshadowed by the pure awfulness of the movie. There is singing and ...

The Dance Above All
Advantages: Ballet of the Red Shoes, Anton Walbrook, Moira Shearer, Leonide Massine, Technicolour, Brian Easdale's music. Disadvantages: Marius Goring, how conflict is resolved in story.
'The Red Shoes', the 1948 British classic and another brilliant cinematic achievement by the Archers (writers-directors-producers Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger), is said to have sent droves of young girls to the barre and ballet classes. Beyond this interesting effect on youthful viewers, the film remains today a powerful tale of near-manic obsession, with, alas, tragic results.
This early exchange at a post-performance party between Boris ... ...dancer he has met for the first time, establishes the film's two protagonists' overwhelming devotion to the ballet:
Lermontov (imperiously): 'Why do you want to dance?'
Page (unfazed): 'Why do you want to live?'
Lermontov (with a very slight pause): 'I don't know exactly why . . . but I must!'
Page (coolly, steadily): 'That's my answer, too.'
Victoria Page soon gets a chance of a lifetime when the world-famous Lermontov decides that she will ...

Advantages: The Hall of Mirrors, the Aquarium, the cliffside, Hayworth and Sloane Disadvantages: You will need to concentrate
...but compromised studio films in the 1940s and 1950s which included 'The Lady From Shanghai (1948),''Journey into Fear (1946)' and 'Touch of Evil (1958).' 'The Lady From Shanghai,' followed the relative success of 'The Stranger (1946),' and was an attempt by Columbia studios to capitalise on its Top box-office star, and Welles's former wife Rita Hayworth. The resulting movie was confusing but most exciting film noir to emerge from Columbia studios ... ...York. Let Right Be Done
Advantages: Interesting story, based on history Disadvantages: Lack of physical action (even of a routine sort)
...Brooks, 'it's good to be the king'. The King (or Crown), in England, cannot be sued. It is a presumption in law that King, being the embodiment of civil authority, can do no wrong. Consequent to this, all parts of the King's establishment, household, etc. also carry this sovereign immunity by extension.
So, when a 13 year old boy was accused of theft in Osbourne Naval College on the Isle of Wight, and summarily dismissed, the family had little recourse. ... ...grace, by proclaiming that despite the legal immunity and presumption of infallibility (and you thought only the Pope claimed infallibility!) that there is a just cause at stake. So, he can let the case be examined and tried, using the proclamation: 'Let Right Be Done!'
--The Case--
George Archer-Shee was the accused. Despite the suspicion of several cadets, Archer-Shee was the only one expelled. This was in 1908. His father, Martin Archer-Shee, ...

Sex and the City
Advantages: funny, great performance Disadvantages: long
...so many exciting reviews on Sex and the City that I decided I watch it. It is a real chick flick romantic comedy and that evening it was the perfect entertainment for me. The film was written and directed by Michael Patrick King. Actually he was the co-producer of the film as well with Sarah Jessica Parker and Darren Star.
