This is a long way from being a Hollywood "guns solve all problems" action movie although there are are enough similarities to keep you on the edge of your seat. This is a brilliantly structured set of interlocking fables which in a very short space of time and at breathless speed take you through a set of moral questions and human dillemas. Willem Dafoe is good in a small role as a detective investigating the disappearance of one of Bateman's work colleagues, and there's other glorified cameos that you could call them from the likes of Reese Witherspoon and Jared Leto, as Bateman's main office rival.
