Advantages: Everything, Storyline, soundtrack, actors, Disadvantages: Only 10 episodes, some special effects are now a bit dated but mostly fine.
I've loved Band of Brothers since it came out years ago. Each of the episodes has something special about it. Each episode is an hour long and almost like a mini film. The whole experience is incredibly cinematic and for anybody who loved "Saving Private Ryan" etc... this will be ideal. I've watched this series a few times and each time it is enjoyable. The cast is huge and not one performance disappoints. Damien Lewis carries the series well. I've ... ...is enhanced and even more enjoyable. The special effects can be dated if you look closely but on the whole are incredible. It would take an essay to describe everything a thing is good about this series. I'll finish by saying I've recommended this series to many people and nobody has regretted watching it. ...

Advantages: heart felt family drama that makes you laugh and cry Disadvantages: a little far fetched with the directness of the family arguments
...exploring the intertwined relationships of brothers and sisters in adulthood and how reliant we all become on eachother at some point. There are a variety of different storylines to follow and shows different levels of depth on issues such as addiction, the war and trust. The story line is believable as the family is set to be an affluent californian family with well to do children who none of which appear to be struggling much. Advantages: Episodes spread out so you can have a good session but there's always more. Disadvantages: None that I can think of.
Series 3 of Ncis packs an emotional punch we haven't seen in the previous 2. Rocked by the death of one of the team we see the gang struggle to get back on their feet and keep going.
As in previous series, Bellisario ensures that each major character has at least one episode centred around them, giving you an insight into what makes them tick. I love this programme and thank CBS for releasing on dvd, means i'm not having to hop channels to find ... ...a 7 disc box set although i think that it would have worked better if the special features on disc 7 were placed on the other 6 discs as they have been with following seasons, meaning that if you want you don't have to change the disc to see at least some of the extras.
Overall a fab dvd experience and a must watch for fans of crime dramas, as it has the humor and warmth so many other shows out there lack, it makes you care about the characters ...
Advantages: An interesting biographical movie. Disadvantages: An interest in art is really a prerequisite.

Instead of painting with a brush Jackson used a stick which never actually touched the canvas; instead he dribbled and flicked the paint over the surface of the canvas which was laid out flat on the floor. The pieces he created in this manner, nicknamed his 'drip period' were produced 1947 and 1950 and they are incredibly famous. I believe most people will be familiar ... ...Ed Harris, who also played Pollock and was released in 2000. Pollock is simply a biographical movie portraying Pollock's life, from his time painting as a nobody in New York City and depicting his discovery by Peggy Guggenheim (played by Amy Madigan) and his subsequent rise to fame, fortune and ultimately disaster. Lee Krasner (played by Marcia Gay Harden), Pollock's lover who then became his wife in 1944, plays a huge role in the film. Lee was also ...
