Advantages: Great TV
Disadvantages: The worst of the five series

The BBC`s rather bold policy of showing five series of The Wire back-to-back during the spring and summer evenings is very welcome as it annoying, and certainly all rather frantic if you want to keep up, video tapes piling up by our TVs as the excellent American cop series goes out at that post Newsnight, BBC2, 11:15pm weekday slot. It's a complete mystery why they didn't put it on the 9 pm weekday slot to build its popularity and so drag it out ...

Murder One Series 1

Advantages: Keeps you watching right up till the end
Disadvantages: Daniel Benzali wasn't in Series 2

Even if you watched this when it first came out on TV believe me being able to watch each episode as and when you are ready is mind boggling. In fact if you have a couple of days to spare sit down and enjoy the whole series in one go. Each episode ends on a cliffhanger and you can't wait to get on to the next disc. Daniel Benzali as Ted Hoffman is brilliant, no praise too high for his acting and for me he made the series. I was bitterly disappointed ...
