Advantages: It will finally end Disadvantages: Not until your brain freezes up
Oh the fear and the horror, the intrigue and the suspense. Where were they?
Like a poor and painfully stretched episode of the X files, Dragonfly lurches from one predictable twist to another led by the charmless Costner. Is it an overdose of Botox that has done this to the once lauded actor? Is it design that causes the most emotionless 'performance' since 'Waterworld'? Or is it a wooden actor attempting to stiffen his ‘craft’ further in order to imitate the glory of ‘The Sixth Sense’. Sadly it is so far from achieving this, that the film becomes a parody of itself.
A quick synopsis of the film: Costner's philanthropic doctor wife is missing presumed dead in the South American Jungle, whilst selflessly putting her medical degree to use in one of the poorest areas of the world. The cruel hand of fate ...

Advantages: Supernatural thriller, great storyline, good suspense. Disadvantages: Could have done with more extras, they all seemed to be rather short
at the right moments, nervous, sad, and happy, grab the tissues, and yes it takes you through your emotions. So this film is supernatural, but it is also romantic and dramatic. The box calls it a suspense filled thriller. Well I will have to leave it up to you to decide.
If you have not guessed it by now I absolutely loved this film and would highly recommend it, especially to anyone that enjoys a good love story or haunting.
~~ DVD Extras: ~~
I should mention that at the beginning of my copy I have two movie trailers to sit through before getting to the film, they lasted approx 5 minutes.
Scene Selection - Considering the film is 100 minutes long, there was only 12 scenes to choose from.

Advantages: A rare EP from Julianne with even rarer extras on Amazon! Disadvantages: Some of the tracks are a bit TOO different from her usual fare
Jules Et Jim was another of Julianne Regans side projects that she explored after the original break up of her more famous band All About Eve. After the end of Mice (my "Because I Can" album review is also available on here) she had a break for 1 year before hooking up with Jean-Marc Lederman in 1999, the band as an entity only released 1 single (Swimming, which isn't on this release oddly enough) and this EP.
Julianne Regan wrote & performed all vocals (apart from one) whilst Jean-Marc Lederman played all the instruments.
So whats on Subtitles then?
01 - If Life Were A Movie.
There are lots of movie references in this, I'll admit I can't spot half of them. Its got a great upbeat chorus which really makes a good contrast to the down toned main verses. Theres lots of drums (a drum machine I assume) but the other instruments are ...
"...This outstanding first film contains some of the most fascinating performances that you'll see all year...A totally absorbing experience..." (Uncut, )
