As many people know, Dragonball Evolution is based on the highly popular Manga and Anime series. I have just finished watching the film and ALOT of people think it was a terrible film and was absolutly pathetic.
THEY'RE TOTALLY WONG! (See what i did there? The director is... James... Wong... :l YOU HAVE NO SENSE OF HUMOR XD)
I saw the film and thought it was great. The storyline was great, the effects were great, the characters were great. IT WAS ALL GREAT!
The film is about Goku who is about to turn 18. For his birthday, he is given the 4-star-dragonball by his Grandpa Gohan. He is asked to keep this safe as its Gohans second greatest treasure (Goku being his first). But instead of attending Gohans birthday meal, he'd rather go to his high school love Chi Chi's party. But whilst he is gone, Piccolo arrives with Mai at Goku's house and the only person there is Gohan. But when Piccolo realises the dragonball is not at his house, they leave, burying Gohan by crushing the house. When Goku realises something is wrong, he runs back home, only to find his house crushed. He carries Gohan out of the rubble and Gohan tells goku of his destiny to find the 7 dragonballs. When Gohan dies, Goku realises it is his destiny to find the Dragonballs. With the help of Bulma, who is also looking for the balls, they search for Master Roshi who believes they will help them on their quest, but some across a few bumps too.
-Cast- Justin Chatwin as Goku Emmy Rossum as Bulma Chow Yun Fat as Master Roshi James Marsters as Piccolo Jamie Chung as Chi Chi Eriko Tamura as Mai Randall Duk Kim as Grandpa Gohan Joon Park as Yamcha
I'm not gonna go too much onto who this film is for, as i've already been beaten to that. Many people believe its for 10 and below. But if your a hardcore anime fan, you [should] love it, but i've heard nasty things, but i think its a great start to a series of films.
