This is the Saiyan saga, the first saga in the DragonBall Z series. It is about the Race called Saiyans.

The first battle in this saga is against Raditz, the high and mighty saiyan, the brother of Goku, Raditz comes to recruit his younger brother Goku, but Goku refuses, so Raditz takes his son instead. Goku and Piccolo follow Raditz and plan to destroy him, but it is not so easy, they will have to try their hardest to beat this foe. In the end they defeat Raditz, but with one big sacrifice, the loss of Goku. Kame (the guardian of the Earth) talks to King Yama (the king of the other realm) about Goku going to train with the legendary King Kai, but first Goku has to go down Snake Way, which is very long. Goku has many struggles on Snake Way, but he pulls through.

Back on Earth, Gohan is training with Piccolo, and so are the Z fighters because of the 2 saiyans that are about to come to Earth in the serch of the 7 dragonballs. The 2 evil saiyans are called Vegeta and Nappa, The Z fighters have been training for this. Nappa gets destroyed, but Goku duels Vegeta, and forces him away. Vegeta promises to himself that he will get revenge on Kakarot (Goku).

This is the first saga of the dragon ball z series, and it is a very good beginning. I give this a 3 star, because there are some other sagas that are much better. I reccomend people to watch this on Toonami at 9pm every day. The episodes go on for 20-30mins, depending if there are adverts during the epsidodes. There are also films of DragonBall Z, which are all great.

Hey, probably should have given more info, like what Saiyans are since most people here don't know. Kame means turtle by the way. I think you meant Kami (god). ^_^ I'll bet the Toonami version is censored. I'll bet they change the dialogue around to fit the words in to when they move their mouths too. Take care, D
