Christine works in a bank and is vying for the assistant manager's position when an old lady comes to her for her loan extension. When his boss tells her she should be able to take strong decisions if she is to work as the assistant manager, she rejects the old lady's extension against her own will. The film is all about the curse and how she tries to get rid of it.The devil wants to take away her soul and she has to somehow think of getting away from it. Between all this, the screen space is divided between her boyfriend and a couple of fortune tellers who try to help her.
The scenes are more gross than scary.A few scenes will make you feel like throwing up and the old lady's character is certainly very irritating to the eyes.It hardly has the sense of surprising which makes it very ordinary.Alison Lohman does a decent job as the petrified girl but the plot goes haywire at times, with illogical twists.
The ending is also pretty disappointing;more emphasize on a stronger ending might have really helped. All in all,a huge disappointment.A film that will actually keep me away from horror for pretty long.
I watched this film a few months back, and I thought id finally write a review about it. I had heard about this film for some time now, and being a huge horror fan I wanted to see a glimpse of what it had to offer. To be honest I actually liked it. There are so many horror films out there at the moment and a large bunch of them are boring and predictable. However, Dragmetohell was original, funky and fresh, it had a great plot, which was unusual to the norm film currently in the market, and it had that suspense factor. The cast is relatively unknown; however don?t let that deter you from watching the film, as its well worth a watch.
Plot:
The film starts of in the past, the year is 1969 and we are in Mexico. A young couple along with their small son, run into a house of a wealthy woman, to help them exercise a demon that they ...
On a rather boring day, i was sitting in the house and i decided to take myself to the cinema. I had already been there about four times in about two weeks. At the time i was making a regular habit of going as it was my way of getting out for a few hours. I checked the cinema listings for yorkgate, the cinema that i always go to and i remembered hearing that dragmetohell was supposed to be good. I have never been a fan of horror films because they scare the life out of me. I know that is the general idea but i don't like it. I had seen 17 again which stars Zac Effron from the High School Musical films prior to watching this. Although that was great i wanted to see something totally out of the ordinary, something different, basically something the complete opposite of what i usually watch and this seemed like the perfect choice.
So ...

My Experience
With reasons like that, I was really looking forward to watching this film, ?The Best Horror since Saw?, I am not too good with horrors but considering the other choice was Star Trek which I am not planning to watch at the cinema, let alone on DVD, we decided to watch this film.
We sat down and the first 20/30 minutes of the film seemed to be really good, it had good suspense moments, the old woman Mrs Ganush did make us hide behind our hands when she started taking out her teeth and stuff, but then comes the cursing scene and then ...

After a very successful detour into comic book adaptations with the Spider-Man series, director Sam Raimi goes back to his horror roots with DRAG ME TO HELL. Raimi takes the helm for this 'spook-a-blast' shocker about an ambitious L.A. loan officer who incurs the wrath of a malevolent gypsy by refusing to grant her an extension on her home loan. Determined to impress her boss and get a much-needed promotion at work, Christine Brown (Alison Lohman - MATCHSTICK MEN) lays down the law when mysterious Mrs. Ganush (Lorna Raver) literally comes begging for mercy at her feet. In retaliation for being publicly shamed, Mrs. Ganush places the dreaded curse of the Lamia on her unfortunate target, transforming Christine's life into a waking nightmare. Her sceptical boyfriend, Clay (Justin Long - DIE HARD 4.0), casually brushing off her disturbing encounters as mere coincidence, Christine attempts to escape eternal damnation by seeking out the aid of seer Rham Jas (Dileep Rao).
