as van damme films go this is probably the best he has done.playing to parts at once as brothers seperated at birth and reunited 25 years on is admirable given van dammes lack of acting quality.basically a story of two different brothers seperated as infants due to the brutal slaughter of their parents by chinese underworld gangsters.it revolves around a bridge that was constructed using the expertise of van dammes parents who were then executed by triads so they could not claim the dividends on the bridge profits over the years.their bodyguard at the time arrived to late to save his parents and with the babies being left in the car he grabbed one and headed off while the childminder made off through the bushes with the other.one was left and raised in hong kong while the other was taken and raised in france then bought to america to run a karate business.basically the bodyguard takes chad(van damme) to hong kong to find his brother alex(also van damme) to team up and rightfully claim what is theirs concerning the bridge.they play two very different brothers, one a wheeler dealer and the other a naive lad.the humour is there but minimal and the fight scenes are excellent.bolo yeung of enter the dragon fame is still as scary as hell.it makes for an enjoyable movie with a moderate level of violence as expected with his films.i would recommend it to any martial arts fan or action film fan.
